Oh yes there were. Many, many of our elite business community, including the
grandfather of the man who may run for president, George Bush Jr. And there
were lots less well known folks as well. Nazi sympathisers were fairly thick
on the ground (so to speak). At least one radio personality of those old
days, a guy named Rudy who yodeled and whose number one fan was yours truly.
He suddenly was no longer on the radio, and it was years before a visiting Air
Force colonel with whom I was discussing espionage mentioned him. It seems he
was sending coded messages (by yodeling) with information about the convoys
leaving the United States for England. Prudy
