The State is defined by archeologists as a monopoly of force over a geographic area(1). It has been shown to have been created only through violence and coercion (2). But the State has only existed for a few thousand years compared to the millions of years of human evolution.Thus,the State is an unnecessary evil. In fact, real anarchy cannot be created through violent revolution. Violence would merely re-create a monopoly of force, i.e., a State and ruling class. We have been brought to the brink of extinction by the nuclear terrorism invented and nurtured by the State. Humanity has an ultimate safety net against statist terror: anarchism. Through nonviolent means we can scientifically and socially discredit the State and save our species and the biosphere.
