Amorc was cut off from many European secret socities when they began giving 'postal Martinist initiations', which the Lewis's had earlier promised not to do. This was a great disgrace to Martinists everywhere. Actually there was a connection to A. Crowley, and more properly to Theodor Reuss. It was Ruess that gave H. S. Lewis its lessons and archives. If you go back and look at the original monographs you will see the connection, alot of material relating to sex-magick. I also believe that AMORC used the OTO insignia for various purposes. There were also accounts that Crowley gave Ruess the OK to work with Lewis, and in turn Crowley recieved some of the early AMORC funds. This may be what Daemon was talking about in his post.
