Henry D. Gonzales, D-Tx. had enormous integrity and hopefully his son will
follow in his footsteps. Gonzales spoke openly on C-Span about what we were
actually doing in Panama in the '80's. It was quite shocking. He was accused
by opponents of revealing classified material on national TV and there was an
effort to stop C-Span after that.
Former Senator Mitchell worked hard with the Amabssador of Ireland (one of
the Kennedy sisters) to bring about peace. Senator Edward Kennedy has pushed
for valuable legislation to improve healthcare. Jo Kennedy D-Ma tried to stop
the "School of the Americas" and privately runs a low cost utilities company
to provide energy to the poor. There are more good people in public office.
They are not all bad, greedy pond scum, IMHO.
