Supposedly, Golden Circle, Knights of, were Southern Gentleman.....there
was a time the carpetbaggers and lacky blacks took advantage of the
southern families, most of whom lost everything during the Civil War
thanks to Sherman.....his march through Georgia, was something my
mothers family never forgot.
There was a regiment in Georgia - Ringold....I only know what I was told
in this by family....my mother had Dixie played at her funeral, along
with Alexander's Rag Time Band.
Consult History of Georgia and military groups through the Daughters of
the Confederacy, which has all the FACTS concerning the Civil
War.....but the Know nothings, the Knights of the Golden Circle, knew
how to keep a secret.....ask any Southern Mason.
