Er, ya, sure... But if you were treated with an acceptable [to you]
replacement, what's to keep the NSA or Bildergergers or Judas clones
or Reptilioids from triggering it into a new functional mode, where
you're compelled to do their bidding? Wouldn't you be thrust into
servitude, dependent on them for your life? Roger Zelazny wrote of
a similar situation in THE LORDS OF LIGHT - you either play ball with
