Springs, Colo., is being awarded a $16,350,000 cost-plus fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract modification to provide for research and development support for investigation of the lethality of high power microwave (HPM) devices on target systems and the susceptibility of U.S. systems to HPM threats. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. The location of performance is the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force base, N.M. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by February 2005. Negotiations were completed November 2002. The Air Force Research Laboratory is the contracting activity (F29601-00-D-0061, P00008).
