President Meets Friends Out for Dinner

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) and first lady Laura Bush had
dinner with friends Wednesday night at a Tex-Mex restaurant in northwest
Washington.

Joining Bush at Cactus Cantina were Robert McCallum, the Justice Department
(news - web sites)'s assistant attorney general over civil matters, and his
wife, Mimi; Pam Nelson; Rex Cowdry, former director of the National Institute
of Mental Health, who graduated with Bush from Yale in 1968; and Cowdry's
wife, Donna, who was a deputy assistant attorney general under former
President Clinton (news - web sites).
It was a rare evening out on the town for the president, who normally meets
friends at the White House when he's in Washington.
