-Caveat Lector- I know Shannon will say he doesn't necessarily endorse the anonymous article (it's not quite the same as an unsigned editorial) and point to "caveat lector" which precedes all articles posted.   It is ironic that the author (whoever that is) tries to use the Bible to prove that which he probably doesn't believe anyway (I don't think Shannon believes the Bible either).   Just a reading of the 28th chapter of Matthew will prove the lie to the whole article. In that chapter Jesus talks extensively about his (physical) return (the second coming) and the signs that will presage it. True, he accomplished the purpose of his first advent which was to die on the cross to provide a means for the forgiveness of sins of believers and their eventual entry into the Kingdom of God.   In that chapter Jesus also relates how various groups of people will be treated according to what they have or have not done at the "White Throne" judgment, another purpose of his second advent.   Many of Shannon's postings reflect the New Age treatment of Christianity as their main enemy.
