Superior Court of California County of San Diego - Central Court the People of the State of California, Plaintiff, V. Diana Louisa Napolis, Defendant. Case No. 171331  Declaration of Diana Napolis in Response to the Recommendations of the Board of Behavioral Science "will continue to cover up for, and deny, the existence of Satanic cults, an excellent sub-population to experiment on without having concern about the disclosures of these children. This is due to these families' and collateral networks' ability to cover up crimes as well as the ability to shut down investigations in the large community" http://www.mindcontrolforums.com/v/napolis1.htm

Labor Lost - In Wal-Mart's America, worker rights are not a priority.
Harold Meyerson
the employer that now sets the standards for working-class America is Wal-Mart. The nation's largest employer, with 3,200 outlets in the United States and sales revenue of $245 billion last year (which, if Wal-Mart were a nation, would rank it between Belgium and Sweden as the world's 19th largest economy) doesn't pay its workers -- excuse me, "associates" -- enough to buy decent cars, let alone homes. According to a study by Forbes, Wal-Mart employees earn an average hourly wage of $7.50 and, annually, a princely $18,000.
...Wal-Mart drives down wages for workers who never set foot there. Controlling as it does so much of the low-end retail market, Wal-Mart has, with great success, pressured suppliers to cut their labor costs. No other American company has done as much to destroy what's left of the U.S. clothing and textile industry or been so loyal a friend to the dankest sweatshops of the developing world. And unless American unions can find the political leverage to block Wal-Mart's expansion into non-southern metropolitan areas, the company poses a huge threat to the million or so unionized clerks who work at the nation's major supermarket chains.

Deny a Reported Claim by Former Military Leader
BUENOS AIRES, SEPT. 3, 2003 (Zenit.org).- The Argentine episcopal conference denied news reports in which a former de facto president of the country linked unnamed bishops with the approval of torture for political reasons. In the documentary "Death Squadrons: The French School," prepared by journalist Marie Monique Robin and transmitted by Canal Plus, the de facto president, General Reinaldo Bignone, said that some Argentine bishops approved the torture of those who disappeared and of political prisoners during the 1976-1983 dictatorship.

U.S. Report Ties Iraq Unrest to Poor Planning
Wed September 3, 2003 12:43 PM ET
By Charles Aldinger WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A "brutally honest" report prepared for the U.S. military Joint Chiefs of Staff blames post-war unrest in Iraq on hurried, inadequate planning before the invasion, defense officials said on Wednesday.
The classified report on lessons learned in the war says U.S. commanders were so busy preparing to defeat Iraq's military and directing the fight that they were given too little time to properly prepare for "Phase IV" peace, according to the officials.
It also flays planning for so-far fruitless efforts to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The threat from such chemical and biological weapons was cited by President Bush and the Pentagon as a major reason for the invasion.

American infrastructure gets poor grade
By JENNIFER C. KERR
Associated Press
WASHINGTON - America's infrastructure is coming apart at the seams, according to an analysis released Thursday by civil engineers, who warned about congested roadways, crumbling bridges and schools, and outdated drinking water systems. In their report, the American Society of Civil Engineers said the condition of 12 key categories of infrastructure showed little or no improvement - and in many cases worsened - in the past two years.
The organization's president, Thomas Jackson, said there are myriad examples of the problems, including last month's massive blackout in the Northeast and Midwest.
In assessing trends since their 2001 report card, the group said the nation is "failing to even maintain the substandard conditions we currently have" for roads and bridges.
The report said 75 percent of the nation's school buildings are inadequate. With population growth outpacing investment in schools, the engineers estimated that more than $127 billion would be needed to build new classrooms and fix old schools.
