Yes of course; and apologies. It is very difficult to separate the
political from the legal in this case. But here is a succint version
expressed as much in law terms as possible:
Do the Haida not have as much "right of self-determination" (Article 1,
Part 1.1 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural
Rights) as other micro-nations like the Pacific Island micro-nations and
the Balkan micro-nations?
We will forward to Prime Minister Chretien as well, looking forward to his
answer.
