Ron Rosenbaum (official debunker of the Danny Casolaro Octopus theory) has long been the official media darling on Skull and Bones. It was interesting to see how Rosenbaum portrayed himself as an underclass "nerd" while at Yale. Funny, with his long hair, dark sunglasses, groovy threads and knack for hanging out with revolutionaries like Tom Forcade, I never would have picked him as a nerd. But then, Rosenbaum has been working hard to conceal his murky past in the counterculture. There were several points made in the program I found particularly interesting. They stated the Order was a mechanism for creating total unwavering loyalty within the group. Also that Geronimo's skull was on display in the Tomb. And the description of the "knighting" process would seem to confirm the Order's roots in Templar and Masonic ritual. Rather than portray the group as a harmless fraternity, they seemed to indicate this is a highly organized conspiracy to consolidate power. Not what I expected from 60 Minutes. Steven Reiner, the producer of the segment, also produced the segment on the Cannabis Cup many years ago. He seems to handle the politically sensitive pieces.
