Thank you for a brilliant post, Mike. Very insightful description of the
way the word McCarthyism is used to stop thought in most people. I like the
t-shirt that was suggested some years ago by I believe, the Review of the
News (now defunct): Front of t-shirt: Sen. Joseph McCarthy - where is he
now? Back of t-shirt: . . . When we REALLY need him!
Senator Joseph Raymond McCarthy was undoubtedly the greatest US Senator in
the second half of the 20th century, and he probably paid for his courage
and insight with his life, dying suddenly and surprisingly (with help?) in
Bethesda Naval Hospital at age 49. In violation of the law, no autopsy was
ever done on McCarthy, despite vigorous efforts on the part of Dr. Emmanuel
Josephsen to get it done. (See "The Assassination of Sen. Joseph McCarthy"
by Medford Evans, and also a book by Dr. Josephsen, the title of which
escapes me, but in which Josephson produces McCarthy's "cause of death"
papers issued by the hospital.) Also, anyone who wants to see why the Media
Elite dumped all its bricks on McCarthy's head can read the absolutely
convincing clarity of McCarthy's style in "America's Retreat from Victory"
where he nailed that obsequious traitor, Gen. George Marshall for betraying
China into the hands of Soviet-trained mass butcher Mao Tse Tung. Joseph
McCarthy, like Pat Buchanan could accurately reduce complicated issues into
words that the average person could understand. That's why they're both
attacked mercilessly by th Big Media. Note how the lying Big Media puts
annoying Zeros like Lamar Alexander as being "in contention" and never
mention Buchanan as anything but a joke. If the computerized "vote counts"
aren't replaced by handcounts, the Big Media might get away with its lies.
Incidentally, pondscum Edward R. Murrow was a spiritual forebear of the
evil Democrats we saw on the floor of the house today.
