I would enjoy immensely a true 'downfall' and expose of the can of worms
behind the curtains. But what I see, is just another managed scandal to divert
and entertain. With a diastrous affectation on our body politic, the
'precedent' of 'rabid' partisanship 'low' crime impeachment. Raising the level
of disgust, cynicism. Destroying the 'credibility' of our institutions.
Another straw on the camel's back. Our Republic is the threat and it's
destruction is the goal, not this silly finger-pointing. All the 'sainted'
talk of a constitutional government with strictly enumerated powers WILL come
back to bite the republicans and the power structure in general.
Impeach the man on his high crimes, but don't impeach the system.
It is very good theatre, though the price of admission is hell to pay. ;-0 MHO
