-Caveat Lector-

All the well-intentioned specials on the JFK assassination are maddening.

The Peter Jennings special aired Nov. 20 "proved" that Oswald was in the
building, did fire three shots, and acted alone. But they left some very
important things out.

The conspiracy nuts are just as bad when they say all the witnesses in
Dealey Plaza died in suspicious circumstances.

But they leave out the one person in that car who is still alive, Nellie
Connally, the widow of Tex. Gov. John Connally; they were in the seat in
front of JFK and Jackie.

When it is said Oswald acted alone, they are using a semantic trick to win
their nonwinnable argument. Nellie Connally says in her new book that anyone
who says 3 shots were fired that day doesn't know what they are talking
about. She was there and there were 4 shots, she says.

Oswald allegedly intended to kill the president that day; but he may have
suspected his shots had not done enough damage to kill him. AS FAR AS HE
KNEW beforehand, he WAS acting alone. It was only when he saw the 4th shot
blow the president's skull off that he knew he had been set up.

Ruby's shooting of Oswald may or may not have been part of a conspiracy but
it is NOT relevant to whether there were 4 shots or 3; this is more
distraction added to the mix to confuse the public. Why Ruby acted does not
affect the fatal JFK head shot.

Experts who were not there can "prove" anything they want using a carefully
selected set of "facts.". They will not convince Nellie Connally.
