Dear CCADP:
Your campaign against the death penalty states-side is getting a lot of attention. Do
you realize that capital punishment is still legal in Canada?
In Canada, a death penalty can be meted out legally against only one group and that
group consists of POOR PEOPLE.
Premier Campbell is telling us that: loudly, clearly and proudly. His pride in
Canadian justice will be revealed in four months when the unprecedented two year rule
begins to deny government-supplied food, shelter, clothing and other necessities of
life to those in need.
If the Campbell-led society as a whole follows suit (as it is legally entitled to do),
the global holocaust of the poor will come to a neighbourhood near you. British
Columbians will join the 25,000,000 global CITIZENS who are legally executed annually
for the heinous crime of poverty. The method of execution is the same as that which
Premier Campbell has threatened against the poor of BC over the past year and a half.
Using a variation on the slogan from your web site, what he is doing is:
"Threatening to kill for political gain"
