Dear Prime Minister Martin:
Premier Gordon Campbell believes that the poorest citizens of BC are not
entitled to manage their own WELL-BEING as the word "well-being" is used
in the Preamble to the Canada Health Act. If his "MHR Regimen" so decides,
vegetarian Buddhists can be forced into pre-employment training and work
in restaurants where they have to slaughter live animals; conservative
Christians, Jews, Muslims and others can be forced into pre-employment
training and work in the legal sex-trades; prolifers can be forced into
pre-employment training and work in abortion clinics and pro-abortion
services. Obviously, there are physical and mental health consequences to
violating the fundamental beliefs of the citizenry, or "mores" as
behavioural scientists like to call them.
Threats to peoples' health and lives (eg the threat of being rendered
homeless) are used by the MHR Regimen to coerce the citizens of BC into
such programs. "Party of Citizens is about good citizenship". That is one
of our slogans. We believe that the MHR Regimen for the reasons stated and
others is a violation of good citizenship. It is a transparent cover for a
regimen which perpetrates political-religious PERSECUTION, disguised as
rehabilitation. Otherwise, can you identify one reputable counselling or
psychotherapy program in North America which says one should underpin
counselling and therapy by threatening the health and lives of the
otherwise peaceful and law-abiding citizens of BC and Canada with
life-threatening circumstances? According to the Dukelow and Nuse
Dictionary of Canadian Law, such threats are MURDEROUS threats.
Are the practices of the MHR Regimen which are the practices of criminal
assault, threatened murder, human rights violations and constitutional
violations and political-religious persecution, those which you want as
representative of good citizenship in Canada?
Again, we are simply trying to exhaust all domestic remedies, as required
by UNHCHR before filing. But a domestic remedy, provided by a few honest
answers to a few honest questions is the preferred solution to this
problem.
