What a load of claptrap. I would never vote for Edwards the politician. Clinton lite ain't my style. But as a lawyer it seems Edwards was doing what the Constitution requires - his best for his client under the law. All these insurance company shills constantly bleat that jurors (us) are idiots. That the law is wrong. That badly injured people shouldn't get access to lawyers (unless they are Republicans). We are being poisoned, polluted, injured by corporate negligence every day while insurance companies rake in untold billions every year from the suckers (i.e. policy holders). The AMA estimates at least 100,000 are killed every year by careless doctors. Not counting the many times that number who are permanently deformed and crippled. The insurance racket (excuse me - industry) spends millions every year trying to con us into shifting the huge cost (billions) of paying for the killed and permanently maimed, brain damaged, etc. onto the taxpayers rather then the real guilty parties. Guess what, if some rich Republican's kid or grandkid was born with severe lifetime brain damage due to some drug addled doctor or had his kids guts sucked from his belly by a grossly negligent swimming pool company (like one of Edward's cases) You can bet they would be banging on his office door.
