It would need the same user toggled wing and fuselage > overlay lines as Jean-Pierre's others wide hole and spools view. > He would not refer to the Goebbels Big Lie movie, it's not his > style to waste space when there is so much evidence to consider. a problem with the commonly cited cable spool images is foreshortening, due to the extreme telephoto view. check steve riskus' photos for a different angle: http://www.criticalthrash.com/terror/crashthumbnails.html for example: http://www.criticalthrash.com/terror/P1010015.JPG http://www.criticalthrash.com/terror/P1010016.JPG one of the cable spools can be seen under the tree in the foreground. note the distance between it and the entry hole area, which is just to the right of the foreground light pole. the other foreshortened angle gives the illusion that the spools are just a few paces away, not tens of meters. thus, the photos usually cited by those asserting the "spool proof" no-plane case are the worst ones for judging the distance to the entry hole. and given the distance to the entry hole, keep in mind that the plane was traveling at a downward angle. desmoulins says five degrees. note also the relative height of the visible cable spool and the height of the engine-clipped power generator sitting behind the fence to the right. i don't see any problem with a close shave pass over the spools, especially since the large-surface-area spools could have been rolled or tossed closer to the building by the jet's powerful slipstream. examining a closeup of the generator, desmoulins estimates the height of the lowest part of the starboard engine at 3-4 feet above the ground when it struck the generator. i'd say it could have been higher, 5 feet or more. i've been told the engines hang about 4 feet below the lowest part of the fuselage. that leaves 9 feet to clear the cable spools which were apparently between 6-7 feet, not even counting some of them sitting in a little hole. which leaves a margin for banking to the left as well. note that these two photos show, in quite good detail, a large and dense field of smoldering, flaming wreckage extending straight from the entry hole to the helipad. this is the "non-existent" wreckage avoided by those types who selectively show photos of the clean grass far to the right side, which was farther away but, again, appears to be closer than it is in the foreshortened telephoto shots taken from the direction of the cloverleaf. not to mention the likelihood of the jet's slipstream helping to blow the shredded wreckage away from this area, which was under the flight path. more useful photos / diagrams and some reasonable comments about the spools at the bottom: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jpdesm/pentagon/pages-en/trj-before.html ------------------------ Yahoo!
