They will ask us why we let it happen, why we had no conscience, why we were wimps. Tonight, at this very moment, the Unites States of America, in direct and specific defiance of the United Nations, is bombing the shit out of Fallujah as we pursue a plan of inhumane exinction of innocent women and childen in this city. There is no way this can be rationalized as consistent with internetional law. There are many ways in which this action is in violation of international law. It is not proportionate. It is not justified. We have no business slaughtering civilians. We are not acting in our own self defense. We are not aiding in the seld-defense of some other country. We are not acting with the OK of the U.N. We are not acting with the OK of NATO. We are not acting with the OK of any treaty group. We are lone rangers. We are cowboys. Bush says: smoke em out. Yippee. Our country is a miserable miserable wreck of what we were a few years ago. Until Bush we were proud to be a poster child for compliance with international law. What we are doing at this moment is condemned by Muslims, by Christians, by the Pope, by the U.N. But our Republican pals claim that they believe in moral values and that somehow moral values entitle Bush to disregard international law. Moral values? My ass. Anyone who believes in moral values would believe in international law. Anyone who believes in moral values would believe in beating our swords into plowshares (Book of Isaiah.) Any so-called believer in moral values would oppose our President in this killing spree. It is murder. Murder in a big way. We are about to kill a large number of people, tonight, tomorrow, over the next few days. This makes me sick. Republicans: happy now? Damn it to hell, are you happy now?
