Howard Zinn was the speaker and the topic was Artists and the Anti War movement. Howard read about 30 seconds from Bob Dylan's Masters of War. I was very happy to hear Howard on KQED and thought to myself- "I'm happy that KQED has enough of an edge to it to run a program featuring Zinn. He's got a viewpoint that truly challenges this corrupt, likely illegal, US Administration in its very destructive military policies." No sooner had I formed this thought than the airwaves went dead. There was probably 5 minutes of completely dead air and then an announcer came on and sheepishly told us that Cambridge Forum had been "truncated" and that they would cut to BBC. What on earth is going on here??? I've never ever heard an extended period of dead air on KQED. Is KQED being directly censored now?
