*** New dinosaur species identified. CLEVELAND (AP) - Bones found over the
past two years have led to the identification of two new species of heavily
armored dinosaurs larger than elephants. The species, both 30-feet long, are
of an ankylosaur, or club-tailed armored dinosaur, and a clubless armored
dinosaur or nodosaur. They were identified as new species because the bones
differ from those of known dinosaurs. The bones include two partial skulls,
limb bones, a handful of armor and some backbones of the ankylosaur and a
shoulder blade and several dozen smaller bones of the nodosaur. See

# HEALTH NUTS. For those of us who swear by Nyquil, this is divine justice
indeed: A Seattle researcher has determined that echinacea, hailed by the
roots-and-berries crowd as a magic herb for warding off colds and viruses,
not only fails to prevent respiratory illnesses but may actually increase
your chance of getting sick. A six-month study found that those receiving
echinacea developed sore throats and runny noses 20 percent more often than
those who received placebos. The researcher said he wasn't surprised to find
echinacea did nothing to prevent illness. But he was at a loss to explain
the herb's negative effects, suggesting that perhaps it somehow weakens the
immune system. By the way, Nyquil comes in a nifty cherry flavor.

Is gravity organic? Is river water homeopathic? Do you prefer cherry Nyquil?

@ I'd like to invite you to a meeting which will take place on August 19,
1999 at the exact geographical center of the continental United States.
The center lies slightly ouside the city of Castle Rock, South Dakota.
There, the future of humanity will be discussed, and plans will be made.
This meeting may be as significant as antigravity, or perhaps more so.
http://www.freez.com/joshua/gathering.html
: Do you ever do anything as significant as antigravity, if not more so? If
an asteroid fell onto the meeting site, would the world gain or lose? Why?

*** Buddhist monks accused of greed. TOKYO (AP) You get what you pay for in
life. But even in the afterlife? Japan's Buddhist establishment is increas-
ingly under attack over the practice of charging bereaved and vulnerable
relatives huge fees for afterlife names given to the dead at their funerals.
The tradition is ancient, and began with names conferred only on Buddhist
priests. When temples began according afterlife names to lay people, the
names became something akin to a ranking system reflecting the deceased's
noble actions during life. Now, however, the decision is based almost
exclusively on money. And lots of it. See

Is it worth it? Would you convert to a belief-system with a cheaper heaven?
