-Caveat Lector- Hurricane Katrina showed how much we are dependent on oil from the Gulf of mexico and how a hurricane can really hurt. The following other sources of energy are immune to any hurricanes: 1.) Energy sources from Alaska Anwr, natural gas, coal, oil no hurricanes in the arctic! 2.) Nuclear power plants are immune to hurricanes 3.) Oil drilling off of alaska and the west coast of the united states no hurricanes there! 4.) Virtually all domestic oil and gas producers outside the immediate gulf coast area...Coal, oil shale and oil sands in Utah immune to hurricanes 5) certainly Integrated gasification combined cycle plants built in coal country would be immune to hurricanes This hurricane certainly points out the need for diversity in energy sources for the United states and there are certainly numerous possibilities if only the wacko environmental movement who have only benefited one and only one organization (financially and power over the united states) and that organization is the Orginazation of PEtroleum exporting countries ----- OPEC.....
