"My bill is about children no matter how it’s tried to be twisted," Rep. Gwyn Green, D-Golden, sponsor of HB 1090, which was being debate by the Senate State Affairs Committee. Afterwards, Green said she was alluding to the Catholic Church’s efforts to block her measure. "I have never in my six years in the General Assembly had a bill so mischaracterized and my motives so impugned," said Sen.
