After a city up north banned guns within the city limit and got a lot
of publicity, a small town north of Atlanta (Kennesaw) enacted a city
ordinance requiring every household to have a gun (if you didn't want
one, though, there were a lot of ways around the law). The crime rate
immediately dropped.
