LUCIFER'S WORLD
[I wander on a darkling world, a changeling land, trembling and alone.
My thoughts are alien thoughts, foreign to this place, anathema to
mankind,
to the minions of materialism and to the thrill seekers�.]
I had assumed that love was here
on this world--green and bright,
the joyous music of the lark,
the eagle�s soaring flight�
But there is only violence
and chaos in the night.
And politician�s craven views
that know not God nor man.
What went awry? What killed the Muse?
What marred His perfect plan?
What went wrong if men are kin,
and God is LOVE and dwells within?
Where is love when mothers weep
And soldiers sleep the deathly sleep?
They kill our sons, then tell the lie
�For Globalism they must die!�
And soon they fall on foreign shores
For Corporate Socialism�s whores.
The angels cry as freedom dies
And citizens believe the lies.
Our quest has failed and joy is lost.
As shadows fall, we count the cost�
But what can stop the lying lips?
Impending doom? Apocalypse?
We bind the wounds, we dry the tears--
There�s been no change across the years.
O Father God, please grant us peace
That these iniquities shall cease.
Give us comfort; bring us rest,
Or let us die upon Thy breast!
And so farewell�to lips that lie,
the frozen dark, the wild blue sky.
And to the lark;
