That evil is in our midst today. If substantiated and true, the July 1998 volume of the Psychological Bulletin issued by the American Psychological Association (APA), attempted to convince us by virtue of this report that pedophilia is not as harmful as we thought. This packet of lies studied a handful of college students who were molested as children, and drew a calculated conclusion that they were not dramatically harmed by the event. In my short time on this earth, I have rarely heard of this kind of recklessness and irresponsibility. Two emotions immediately flooded over me. After the shock wore off, I first felt the vein in my forehead pound and my face turn red. My anger burned against those who could be so stupid! A few minutes passed, and then came the burden. The weight of sorrow and the sadness took hold as I realized that I was hearing merely the foolishness of a country and world that has turned its back on all that is good and righteous. Setting out to pick apart such asinine logic is almost too easy. Sadly, most Americans today will sigh, shrug their shoulders and sit down to watch another episode of ‘Will and Grace’. If we were to ask a college student who had been molested or sodomized as a child, it is quite possible that they do not realize or understand why their relationships and dysfunctional lives are so screwed up. If these so-called scientists knew any basic morals, they might understand that such events can morally screw up someone’s life. (I use the phrase ‘so-called scientist’, since Dr. Laura has correctly points out that when you use the phrase so-called, it means that the object of the phrase is not really what it claims to be). Anyway, I bet if you actually did a little due diligence, you would find that many, if not all, of these students could not hold down a healthy relationship, either consistently slept around, or had some sort of unnatural sexual appetite ( the APA obviously doesn’t see any behavior as abnormal ), had a higher than average rate of drug or alcohol abuse, and any number of other moral problems. Obviously, not everyone who shacks up, drinks, etc. has been molested, but when one has been viciously attacked and used by an adult ( who supposedly cares and want to protect children ), then I would reasonably assume the coping with relationships, trust, and life would become much more difficult if not impossible. There is an organized and growing movement to normalize depravity and malicious sexual appetites in this country. What used to seem like an impossible attack on the family, is now a real war, with real weapons and real people. I must say, that our side is fat and lazy. We are not sharp, we are not ready, and we no longer hold the torch of liberty along side its moral responsibilities.
