I vote for ritual sacrifice - more exciting. Can't trust them Masons.
Obviously, the telepathic giant squids whose mind-control molded the
development of the early Republic had need for succor on that date.
Hence, the sacrifices. If Masons deny this, remember: they're just
squid-stooges. Be ware. Be very ware.
