Well, I am as much for protecting the environment as the next person. I
shall spare you the details of my on-going battle with my local utility
concerning the connection of my solar/wind supplemental power source and the
latest--spraying my Collie in the eyes with pepper spray for no reason.
However, some of these Treaties have never been ratified. Case in point
Alabama Steelworkers vs. NAFTA. NAFTA has never been ratified yet was
upheld in federal court. The pollution is so bad in other countries, many
far worse than in the US. I do not think that is the real reason the UN
wants control of these resources. I think it is a little bit gullible to
believe they only want to protect them from us bad ole plundering Americans.
