Obviously not seeking power nor wealth. << Jamie, Thanks for the obituary information, as personally, I don't follow anything about the man, but have heard his name mentioned on occasion in reference to the ark of the covenant... and websites such as: http://www.do-you-love-me.org/wsomers/arkcov.html http://www.anchorstone.com/wyatt/ I just find it amazing that only Ron Wyatt should be the one in history to discover not only the true resting place of the ark of the covenant, but is also the only one man alive or dead, privy with the exception of those whom he disclosed information to before he died regarding: the true story of Genesis, i.e. the great flood of Noah, Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Red Sea Crossing, i.e. the chariot wheel, how the pyramids were really built, and is the only one who found the 'real' Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia. Hmmmm... that's a whale of a lot of accolades and historical archaeology to have been found by one man, in one life time, and interesting that no one else but his wife and other Wyatt followers seem to agree with him about... And don't get me wrong, I'm sure that whatever he's accomplished in the realm of archaeology is probably very contributing and astute to the profession and his cause. However, Wyatt's website annotation, written by Bill Fry states: >>"Unlike Ron's other discoveries (Noah's Ark, Sodom & Gomorrah et al) the Ark of the Covenant has always suffered from a lack of hard of evidence."<< http://www.anchorstone.com/wyatt/aoc_update02.html (which by the way, this website is more a defensive argument, attempting to save face, and defend Mr. Wyatt's honor, rather than an update as advertised on the website to be. But then that's okay, too. We all must defend our work and uphold truth as we know it). Some have a little more, some have a little less. It all boils down to the fact that God will give to whom what He wills, and also take in the same respect, and give to another. But really, I know no more about Wyatt than that on the websites about him. As previously stated, I do not believe that the ark of the covenant is present upon the face of the earth today, but rather is wherever the Temple of God is, i.e. heaven, as stated in Revelation 11:19. If Wyatt indeed discovered the ark, then where is it? Show me. I'm as curious as the next person... but I've yet to hear anything documentable or solid regarding this so called discovery. So, why then, are there people still looking for it if his 'discovery' was so profound? No power and wealth...??? Then why does his beneficiaries charge for information such as CD's, books and videos regarding all these wonderful discoveries and solved mysteries? Seems rather, someone is making a buck or two off of his work... https://www4.secure-website.net/~sayhello/wyatt/formail.html Perhaps a wealth of power greater than us all put together put the squash on this ludicrous idea that the ark of the covenant is somewhere to be found in the earth? And that is why Mr. Wyatt is no longer with us to finish his claim to the ark. But then that's just a thought, and could be absolutely a fact or absolute falsity. However, it is no more provable than Wyatt's theory of where the ark is, and how it suspiciously came to be in some crack in Jerusalem, but has of yet to be proved or produced. Wyatt's theory is fascinating, but his theory doesn't match up with what the Bible says about the ark of the covenant. And it seems that I am not alone in this... See http://www.biblemysteries.com/library/lostarks/ and http://www.biblemysteries.com/library/ark/ for a logical and comprehensive view of this idea about the ark of the covenant. Truly, I believe, God took the ark. It will not be found anymore, nor is there any need for it as stated in Jeremiah 3:16. For the ark was and still is symbolic of the dwelling place of God, and a place from which He spoke to the people from the mercy seat in the tabernacle in the wilderness and times afterward. But God replaced the need for material objects when He sent His son as expiatiator of sins. The need for an article such as the ark of the covenant was no longer necessary when God sent Immanuel - See Isaiah 7:14 (also spelled Emmanuel ) meaning "God with us", see Matthew 1:23, who fulfilled the law as well as all duties and perfection of the Temple of God. He now dwells in the hearts of the souls who so choose to believe, and there is where the ark is, that place where we each speak to God from the heart of the soul. No longer is there a need for an ark to provide our physical eyes with an object of faith. I rest my case. eagle 1 ----- Original Message ----- From: Stopforth, Jamie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: 'Eagle 1 ' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 10, 1999 7:59 PM Subject: RE: Re: [CTRL] New claim over Ark of the Covenant > Wyatt is dead, he made the discovery of the Ark in 1982.
