The following website has alternative theory about Kosovo: http://www.truthinmedia.org/Kosovo/Peace/ps38.html ======= Per the Internet rumors of early June 1999 that the USS Gonzalez was hit and perhaps even sunk during the Yugoslavian War: The USS Gonzalez website has been down from May 1999 until sometime over the past week. It is now working again. The dates on the website pages are Pre- and early Yugoslovian war, circa March 1999. When I went to the website, for the first time, I recieved a defense department warning page before entering the site. The title page for the site shows a rather eery ghosted view of the ship in an unseemly and unnatural picture. The title for the page is "BEYOND THE CALL" which implies men who went beyond the call of duty. This is odd for a brand new ship that merely fires tomahawk missiles at onshore targets, as very few abnormal and 'beyond the call' duties are required. Unless the crew was exposed to harm in some way. This would be the type of Website one would put up for 'signaling' without saying what really happened. My premise is that if this ship was truly hit during the Yugoslavian War, and if there were heavy casualties, then this is further proof that a ship's crew can be silenced. We have heard over and over again from Pro-Navy pundits that if the Navy were involved in the cause of TWA 800, that one could not silence a whole ship's crew. Furthermore, if the USS Gonzalez DDG 66 were hit, it also may provide evidence that the Navy needs to overhaul and rethink their strategy for using Aegis Missile Destroyers in littoral warfare environments. They are dangerously vulnerable for a technology that was designed during the darkness of the Cold War. Further cover-up of this vulnerability for political and financial reasons may mean that our men and women who serve in harms way may be very vulnerable to attack during the next conflict. For further detailed information regarding the USS Gonzalez, do an LSoft Flight 800 search of my postings on this matter several months ago.
