Sixes are security-oriented people who invest most of their energy in people and groups that offer security and safety. They are very responsible people who take their duties very seriously. At their best, Sixes can be very appealing, endearing, affectionate, and lovable. They are very trusting, and dedicated to their family and friends. They are responsible, reliable, trustworthy, hard-working people. They are self-confident, and as a result they behave courageously, think positively, and accept leadership easily. Average Sixes are organized people who follow the rules for the sake of security and continuity. They are afraid to "rock the boat". They may become passive-aggressive in order to resist increased demands on them. They may become evasive, indecisive, and unsure of themselves. They often divide people into in-groups (friends) and out-groups (enemies). They begin to fear any change in the status quo. Unhealthy Sixes can become extremely codependent and have severe feelings of inferiority. They see themselves as helpless and incompetent without their group, whatever group that may be. Unhealthy Sixes are easy prey for cult groups, as they will cling to any group that offers them security. They may develop paranoid attitudes, and may act irrationally because of that. They do not want to act hastily, because hasty actions disturb their status quo. They identify easily with others, sometimes to the point of losing their own identity. They will preserve the peace at any cost, wishing to avoid tension and conflict. They are very accepting of others, and can be friends with almost anyone. Healthy Nines are emotionally stable, receptive, deeply accepting and understanding, serene and not self-conscious. They trust themselves and others, and are at ease with the natural world. They are optimistic, supportive, reassuring, and can bring people together. They are at one with themselves and are able to form profound relationships. Average Nines idealize others and go along with others' wishes too much, living through others. They fear change and conflict, thus becoming passive, disengaged, too easygoing, unresponsive, and complacent. It is easier for them to brush problems under the rug than to deal with them. They begin to fantasize too much and tune out reality. They become oblivious, inattentive, and unreflective. They are willing to have peace at any price. They minimize their problems, and often look for magical solutions. Unhealthy Nines can be repressed, underdeveloped, and ineffectual. They do not want to deal with problems, so they become neglectful and dangerous to others.
