There were several dead from Canada I know of but both the media and
government up here simply portrayed them as religious fanatics who
instigiated their own demise. I don't recall any protest by either about
the slaughter and, typically, this is a country where they deluge us with
info about a citizen who even incurs a minor drug charge in another
country let alone gets wasted by jackbooted thugs. There's something odd
in the foreign media/government's silence on the deaths of so many of
their citizens.
