First it was Colt.

To some extent, the revelation is not new of Colt's owner contributing
several thousand dollars to anti-gun Senator Charles Schumer's campaign,
and many thousands of dollars to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign
Committee, in which anti-gun Frank Lautenberg, Daniel Moynihan, Diane
Feinstein Barbara Boxer and Ted Kennedy draw their campaign funds.

Then, we reported on 10/09/1999, most of Colt's handgun line have been
recently discontinued (except to Military and Police) and will not be
sold to the general public. Of course, we also learned of a meeting in
Washington D.C., 27 September 1999 between major handgun makers and the
attorneys general of New York and Connecticut, and Philadelphia Mayor
Ed Rendell. Smith & Wesson, and officials from Sturm, Ruger & Company,
Colt's Manufacturing, O. F. Mossberg & Sons, Taurus, Glock and Beretta
reportedly began negotiating their way out of lawsuits by governmental
agencies, at this meeting.

Negotiate? What is there to negotiate?

What does it take for the gun manufacturers to understand that our enemy
will never be happy until they have placed the hangman's noose around our
necks? Do they have to go to a meeting to negotiate just how tight our
enemy gets to place the noose around our necks?

Folks, it matters little to our enemy if we make compromises, and give a
small amount of our rights away in hopes of appeasing their lust to destroy
the American Bill of Rights. COMPROMISE NEVER HAS, OR EVER WILL PASSIFY THE
CLOSET SOCIALISTS BENT ON GUN CONTROL! THEY WILL ALWAYS COME BACK FOR MORE
UNTIL THEY HAVE COMPLETELY REPEALED THE 2nd AMENDMENT! HISTORY DOES NOT LIE!

S P R I N G F I E L D, Mass.

Oct. 22 - The nation's largest handgun manufacturer is requiring dealers
in its collective advertising program to sign a code of ethics designed
to prevent the illegal sale of guns.

More than three-quarters of Smith & Wesson's 3,500 registered dealers in
the program have signed the agreement since the company began mailing them
in mid-July, said Paul Pluff, manager of retail sales.

Among other things, the code requires dealers to obey all firearms laws,
sell only Smith & Wesson guns with safety locks and to closely monitor
buyers to avoid illegal purchases.

The Springfield-based company warned that dealers will be dropped from
collective advertisements and won't receive other marketing help if they
run afoul of the law or fail to sign the agreement by the end of the year.

If we look at the requirements to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL),
and the strict regulations thereafter that are enforced by the BATF, one
would have to ask what this so called "code ethics statement" that Smith
& Wesson expects all FFL's to sign (or they will not do business with that
dealer) will accomplish.

An FFL dealer goes through an FBI criminal background check before issued
their dealers license, FFL's are fingerprinted, FFL's are interview by BATF
agents, they MUST have a place of business (cannot setup shop at home), and
FFL's are inspected at least once per year by BATF inspectors. FFL's (gun
dealers) must also cooperate with any BATF enforcement officer in a criminal
investigation on any firearm he sells from his store that might be used in a
crime, even if the FFL's gun transaction was perfectly legal. Even if the gun
was stolen from his original customer. Even if the gun had exchanged hands 20
times since the original legal transaction he initiated. In fact, there are
so many federal laws that regulate the FFL dealer, we could write another 40
pages with ease, just on the federal regulations and criminal penalties that
could be applied if ALL of the federal gun regulations are not followed to
the letter by the FFL dealer. No joke.

But this "code of ethics" statement is going to make "THE" difference??

If that is the case, then the "gun free" school zone law will keep criminals
from entering the "gun free" school zone. They will immediately STOP at the
school's 1000 ft. perimeter line, frozen in horror that they are at the edge
of the point of no return!!

Yea, right...........

What is even more distressing with Smith & Wesson's compromise with the enemy,
is mandating dealers to buy a "trigger lock" for the handguns purchased from
Smith & Wesson.

Of course, we all know that ANY criminal will allow a decent law-abiding
citizen
to hunt for their "trigger lock" key, and then allow the law abiding citizen
and
Smith & Wesson customer enough time to unlock and remove the Smith & Wesson
"trigger lock" from their Smith & Wesson pistol.

No problem!

Hey, everyone knows that criminals want you to be ready to shoot them!

But, Smith & Wesson's CEO, Ed Shultz ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) has recently
e-mailed replies to folks, when asked why Smith & Wesson went to the most
recent
meeting with the anti gun lawyers and cities (etc.), and made some "under the
table" deals (just like Colt) with the enemy. We quote S&W's CEO, Ed Shultz:


     "...you can believe these rumors if you wish, and throw your
      guns in the ocean also if you wish.  However, before you
      do so, get the facts. If you just think about it, you will
      probably realize that this is nothing more than a way for
      the gun control folks to get us to mistrust each other."

....almost believable, Ed. Well OK. Truthfully, its not believable at all.

Smith & Wesson claims they went to the meetings with the anti gun lawyers
and cities (etc.) to really see what they wanted.


As if they did not know??? Excuse me?


We will need a better excuse than this to be convinced that S&W are not
selling us out. Especially now, since the proof of their compromise with
the enemy is now manifesting itself to the naked eye.

Some may argue the above compromise is "not as bad as Colt." Agreed. But
even if it is "not as bad", it is still compromise. And as I have stated
before, our enemy will not rest until they put the noose around our necks.
For S&W to have opened the door a crack, they have invited REAL trouble,
for now they have lost their negotiating edge with the enemy. They have
blinked, so to speak, and don't you know the enemy has taken notice of
this and will exploit it at every angle!!

In war, you don't give up ANY strategic ground, for such ground will mean
the difference in victory or defeat. S&W has given our enemy a strategic
beach head.

What does it take for S&W to understand that our enemy will never be happy
until they have placed the hangman's noose around our necks? Do they have to
go to a meeting with those devils to get a "personal look" at the noose??

Perhaps next time, they can rent a horror movie, if they wish to see death
"up close and personal."

.....and all in the name of the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR? Nothing like being sold
out (betrayed) by old friends.
