They were the elite rich who made a grab for the wealth on this side of the
great pond.

So among those who gambled to replace the European Elites with Continental
Elites, some lost, and the rest made out like bandits with deserted British
real estate.

Not at all. They gave us a system of government that assures political power
to the elite by the separation of powers. The " separation of powers " pretty
much guarantees that if the filthy masses manage to gain control of one branch
of government, the other two can keep them at bay. IT WORKS GREAT!
