Treatment of Mr. Bachmann included an IV infusion of dilute hydrogen peroxide, classical homeopathy, complex homeopathy and electrodermal testing. After deliberating for only one hour, a jury unanimously found complementary medical doctor Michael B. Schachter not guilty on ail counts of medical misconduct, including charges of malpractice, fraud and consumer fraud. Schachter's winning panel of experts included Dr. Stephen Bock and Dr. James Carter. The doctors and Schachter's attorney, Keith von Glahn, tackled head-on Bachmann's expert witnesses, who included well-known "quackbusters" Dr. Steven Barrett and Dr. John Renner, neither of whom currently have active medical licenses. This case is a victory especially for FAIM, which has led the state health freedom campaigns by passing protective law in NY and is now actively campaigning in NJ.
