checking out Forest Service Homepage... looking for Report on Penn 99...
haven't found yet... however, did discover...
ANOTHER REGULATION... THIS IS FOR SPECIAL USE PERMITS - - DESIGN
AND IMPLEMENTATION... with COMMENT period running until Jan 24th, 2000...
One Section is for getting payment for costs insued in issuing a Special
use permit... in Gathering's case... the some (over) $1, 000, 000 a year,
management costs incurred for Gatherings.. (incudes 'cop movie")
check this out folks, along with the Roadless area Regulation... the
National Forest Fee (incoming), the National Forest Planning move currently
underway... per earlier information.... and the multiple court cases,
currently underway or processed... gives me a sense of urgency -- to send
out this Alert!!....
please post and distribute to All Gatherers or potential Gatherers,
worldwide... environmentalists, Tribal groups, etc...
this is a big one folks... and will directly effect any citizen's
Right of Access/use of national Forest AND Bureau of land management lands
in the United States and Territories etc...
this Regulation over Special use permit implementation... must be
studied and replied too... otherwise, as you know... Gatherings.. and our
Cultural heritage and tradition of gathering on public lands... in free
peaceable assembly for purpose of expression will be left out of, or negated
by this process...
for example, all costs insued, by people Gathering, THERE WILL BE A
BILLING... SOMEHOE,... IT IS IN THEIR PROPOSED REGULATION...
and we all know, I know, they run up the costs each and every
year... (billing Arizona 1998, for example)....
please READ AND SHARE THIS INFORMATION... LETTERS OF COMMENT ETC... MUST
BE SENT IN ON THIS ONE. FOLKS... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!...
And if anyone gets wind of the Penn. Report, sure would like to
know...
