-Caveat Lector-

All these "well attested" names rate as "blatant exercises in
"North European chauvinism," because the "American" hemisphere
was not named by "red" or "native" people... Now scientists
find "caucasoids" [an ugly word] may have lived there too, in
the distant past. Surely "red" people were dominant, since the
caucasoids vanished, and they weren't necessarily "holocausted",
although (some of) the Aztecs conducted frequent human sacrifices
-- as did some of the Canaanites, Hebrews, Hittites, Druids,
etc... Which may well explain certain "out of place" artifacts
that vex certain "Amerindian" chauvanists. Soon, by way of
DNA analysis, the record will be clarified, to the chagrin of
would-be "experts" who seem to think boats from the east Atlantic
didn't cross the waters until Colombus grew up.
