One of the worlds great arbiter of fashion and style has pronounced the
death of the blond- and claims to have scientific backing for the claim.
To be published later this month. The vogue book of blondes, published by
the company which owns the authoritative fashion magazine, Vogue, has ruled
that the fun fair haired people are presumed to have in abundance, will die
out and become a nostalgic memory.
According to the author, Kathy Philips, the basis for this theory supplied
by geneticist, steven Jones of University college London, who has discovered
that blondness is the result of a recessive Gene.
Jones who is dark haired is reported to have found "fair hair is caused by a
weak genes whereas dark hair is the product of dominant ones. When a dark
haired person and a natural blond have children together, the offspring will
almost always be dark haired.
According to Vogue, "naturally blond populations" could flourish in the
"formerly closed societies" of Nordic and northern Europe. But the
increasing immigration into these countries has brought out more liaisons
between northern blonds and " dusty southern Europeans".
The result according to the a report in Philips book is that by the end of
the next millennium" the peroxide bottle" will be the only answer for those
who cannot face life with mousy brown hair.

Her book also reportedly examines a connection between power and blondness,
and notes that the " one appears to augment the other. Margaret Thatcher
became blonder as she became more powerful as did Eva Peron and Hillary
Rodham Clinton"
