</A> -Cui Bono?-
These rules must be in the game plan of the company I work for (Quantum
Inc.) but they also run with another set of rules:
1. Promote the incompetent
2. If someone is good at their job, don't promote them, keep them productive
3. If one shift does more work and has better quality ... chastise them,
they can do better
4. If one shift is useless and has low quality, give them a raise, inspire
them to do better
5. If someone is an idiot, make them an Engineer
6. If we do a good job in one area, farm out that part of the business to
another company that can do the job more expensively
7. Blame it on the workers, if they succeed, change things to make it
harder,if not impossible to meet managements goals
8. If all else fails and the business is making money ... ship the operation
to Malaysia
I'm applying for a position at Intel ... anyone know if that company follows
these rules?
