It's a boom for the Oligarchy, the fatcats at the top of the heap, and a
bust for everyone else. We have been fed a large helping of bullshit about
the "long economic expansion in the U.S. history." The "expansion" has been
largely on paper. It's a sham. It's no more real than the "increase in
wealth" generated by stock market manipulations. All those people who have
invested their retirement funds in 401(k) accounts, and who drool over the
"increase in value" of their stocks, will be in for a nasty surprise when
they take a look at how much those stocks are *earning*. Price/earning
ratios are out of control, and sooner rather than later the whole house of
cards is going to come crashing down on all of our heads.
