Ah, yes ... the 'new' management style and I am a veteran thereof. In the
'old' style, situations would develop at which point one would 'gather the
facts'. Now, it's a matter of creating the facts, develop the situation, then
be the first one to be able to assess, evaluate same then recommend a solution.
While everyone else is puzzled over how the situation got going and out of hand
in the first place, the 'manager' takes charge and effects solutions. This is
also called 'planning' through a personal 'brainstorming' session. Sometimes
it takes a few allies to complete the scene but the end result is usually the
same. It's along the same lines a 'make work' but a 'controlling' emphasis.
It's fun with the young ones when they do it; they think they invented a new
game.
