In the novel, Dru leads a military coup, establishes himself as DICTATOR of

The colonel admits it is "not much of a novel," but that "fiction is the best
format for disseminating HIS POLITICAL IDEAS to a large audience." According to an
article on House, his novel "is an indispensible source book on the ORIGINS of Woodrow
