Dear Readers,
whether or not associated with spirit-assisted tree-dwelling,
according to an old Psych dictionary of mine (probably Arthur Rebus',
Penguin edition) there is indeed a native-specific Eskimo condition called
Piblotko, which is diagnosed by symptoms including wild, outwardbound
running behaviour away from the village. I came across this whilst
compiling the 'name the syndrome' section of last year's Psych Quiz for a
Dept Student Soc social event.
