I don't know. The child was showered with constant presents, and I don't
know how some of the presents fared. The puppy and the bunny disappeared.
Young animals that are overhandled die quickly. We (if we are normal) would
all die for our children. That does not mean we should be idiotic about
their behavior. A child who is properly reared and loved can recover
quickly from difficult situations. That child does not have to be constantly
showered with gifts. The Miami family did not nurture in a way that I would
