I second Kirimaku's suggestion regarding eGroups...I run a
couple of lists there myself, and find it quite easy to do,
especially when it comes to moderating certain subscribers
and approving their posts (something I only do on rare
occasions)....

Also to moderate the posts.  You can set up the list options
so that the moderator(s) get a copy of the moderated post,
which they have the option to approve via email, or to go
onto the website to read the post in its entirety...

The chat function is funky right now.  Apparantly works for
Netscape browsers, but IE has problems with it.  According to
the Merger email list I'm on (discussion of the Onelist and
eGroups merger), it is a known problem which they are working
on.  Translated, it means "don't hold your breath expecting a
fix any time soon"...
