WHEREAS: The Attorney General is the highest law enforcement officer in the United States and has taken an oath to not only uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution, but to take care that the laws are faithfully executed and;

WHEREAS: The current Attorney General has a long record of failure to take care that the laws are faithfully executed and;

WHEREAS: The current Attorney General has now, acting under color of authority, ordered her agents to break into an American home and seize a child, something she had no more authority to do than an ordinary citizen, and;

WHEREAS: The current Attorney General has been found by eminent legal scholars to have violated the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by arresting Elian Gonzalez without benefit of an arrest warrant, secured from disinterested judicial auth orities, the search warrant she says she has, NOT being sufficient to warrant the seizure of Elian;

NOW THEREFORE, we the undersigned American citizens hereby petition the Congress of the United States to relieve us from this dictatorial and violent official by impeaching the current Attorney General, Janet Reno, and petition the House Judicia ry Committee to begin the process of such impeachment forthwith.
