Nicky, Some time ago one of these rings appeared over the area where I live. It was clearly visible on The Weather Channel. I think it was when the Level 5 tornado hit Oklahoma. If these occur around military installations, that would hold true here in the northern half of Alabama as we have the NASA base at Huntsville and also Redstone Arsenal is there. It was very stormy at the time and that huge, perfect circle was a frightening thing to see. Another time there were two tiny ones over Tennessee. Don't know what they were near.
