Big Money United Member Organizations We, the members of the organizations Multi-millionaires for Bush, Millionaires for Gore, and Billionaires for Forbes in 2004 are here to celebrate our victory. The money has spoken! We have come together because, in spite of our differences, we have already won. Any of the candidates we have already chosen will do just fine. We bought them and now they speak for us. Big money gets to control the agenda! We and our candidates don't talk about child care, Patients' Bill of Rights, arms control, affordable housing, living wages, or predatory lending by credit card companies. Personally, we already have everything we need and we just want more. We're the winners: We get more and everybody else gets less! All of the candidates' tax plans will do just fine—the plans all reward the very wealthy and nobody else. Any candidate's version of campaign finance reform is fine—each version leaves us in control. We like all the approaches to government's regulatory role—all of the approaches eliminate it! We love the economic policy of all our candidates—they'll farm out formerly public jobs and services to us and we''ll make a buck off them. We love their approach to economic growth—keep wages low, unions on the defensive, municipalities in hock to us, and the global South under the thumb of our financial institutions. Political participation is a good thing—when we pick the candidates. Leave the economic winners in charge. "That's our final answer."
