Bull. Tarot is totally a European invention, relying on
pseudo-Egyptian imagery to lend them an air of authenticity. During
the late Middle Ages when these cards were developed, and early
Renaissance when they were 'perfected', Europeans felt that anything
Egyptian lent an air of mystery and occult authority.
That is how the traveling people of Romany who utilized these cards
came to be called 'gypsies', since legend had it that they originally
came from Egypt, when in reality their ancestors came from India...
And tarot are just cards, neither 'sinister' nor benevolent....

incoherent babble as I do...

images stand for and mean.
The card referred to as The Tower, showing a lightening bolt destroying
a tower, does NOT represent 'communication breakdown'...

When you get that good tarot reference book, read up on the meaning of
the suit of cups, too...
It sounds like you've been basing your 'research' on bad B-grade
Hollywood movies in which tarot has been an integral part. I'm sure
you feel the Death card represents actual physical death, too....
